Here are some "fun facts" from an interview with our new principal, Yuko Porter!
She was born in Great Falls, Montana where her father was stationed in the Air Force
She's a graduate of Kentwood High School.
She met her husband Jason at Duke University (and yes,she's confident they will be cheering on the Blue Devils in March) 
They had to leave behind a Beta-fish named Brutus when they moved, but are planning to adopt a new one and name him "Caesar"! (probably wise they didn't put them together....)
She's a Dancer! She loves tap, jazz, ballet and modern dance!
It's said she's a "picky eater" but she loves to cook--if someone else will clean up! Fruits and vegies and spicy food rank high on her list.
She's played violin and flute, but the piano is her favorite!
Her current favorite author is Jodi Picoult because of her skill in developing her characters.
As a child, she enjoyed Nancy Drew, the Babysitter's Club and her all-time favorite, Anne of Green Gables
She enjoys the challenge working with kids AND parents and likes to make learning FUN!
