Do a PTSA Job Next Year!
Posted on January 15th, 2015

‚ÄčThank you to those who joined us last night for our first Eagle Chat and PTSA meeting.  We had a great group of people that asked great questions on bullying prevention, school safety, Playworks, and a wide range of topics.  The Eagle Chats are a unique opportunity to be able to have direct face to face time with the principal and assistant principal and ask about things going on in the school.

I started the meeting by going over all the great things our PTSA provides for our school and putting out a call to action for volunteering. We have a group of about 8-10 committed parents that are doing the bulk of the PTSA work in our school.

We need a bigger workforce and we need your help!

If your child has enjoyed attending our movie nights or skate nights, came home talking about a great field trip, had great school pictures - please consider paying it forward and volunteering for a shift at one of our events.

To start, we need 4 parents for the Toymaker event this Friday to help hand out toy packets.  (Great volunteering opportunity for parents who work during the day).  We need helpers at 5:15pm.  Please let me know if you can help!

We need wide range of parent volunteers to help us with the talent show and multicultural night.

We are also looking for after school programs chaperones - someone to be onsite while the program runs.  If you do this position your child receives a free or greatly reduced rate to attend the program!  Contact ASAP if you're interested in this position.

Please check out our volunteering opportunities at  (type Ardmore under Event finder tab)

If you're able to get more involved, there are several PTSA board positions and chairs open next year.  Click here to see a list of positions and duties and the time commitment they require.  We are a casual fun group that is truly committed to enriching the academic experience at Ardmore.

Thank you!
Misty Dampier, PTSA President
